Magical!
This book is magical. Set in 1920’s Alaska, Jack and Mabel are making a life for themselves. Having never had children, they left a comfortable life to start over. One evening, the first snow of winter starts to fall. An unusual display of playfulness finds Mabel suggesting to her husband, “Let’s build a snowman.”
They build a small snow child, a girl, and the following morning, by all appearances, the snow child disappears and both Mabel and Jack glimpse a young girl dashing through the trees. Could this be the child of their dreams? Made from wishes? You must read to find out.
